What Is ICURED Microneedle?
The ICURED Microneedle treatment is a revolutionary new therapy designed to regenerate aging facial skin and return to it the glowing softness of youth. It does this by injecting multiple small doses of a fractionated protein complex derived from sheep’s placenta into the dermal layers of the skin. This protein complex contains a multitude of growth factors, small peptides and cytokines designed to activate dormant stem cells and fibroblasts in the skin of the face and neck.

Stem cells are powerful, pluripotent cells that have the capacity to regenerate themselves into virtually any cell type in the body. In the skin, they have the ability to rapidly proliferate and replace damaged and diseased skin cells with large numbers of young, healthy cells.

Fibroblasts are cells that speed wound healing and provide the structural framework of the skin by producing collagen and elastin. Collagen is the major structural protein in the skin, responsible for its thickness, strength and shape. In youth, collagen makes up 80% of the volume of the skin, but after the age of 25, we lose about 1% of our total volume of collagen each successive year. Elastin, as its name suggests, is a highly elastic protein that allows skin to retain its shape after stretching or contracting. It it imparts to our skin its elasticity.

When Will You See The Result From ICURED Microneedle?
Within just a few days following the ICURED Microneedle Treatment, patients will notice an overall lifting and tightening of the skin of the face and neck, accompanied by a noticeable reduction in wrinkles, as well as a new glow and radiance of the skin of these areas. This is due to the dramatic increase in both the collagen and the elastin content of the skin. This rapid proliferation of collagen and elastin in the skin continues unabated over the ensuing three weeks following the treatment.

ICURED Microneedle Treatment Time & Wave’s Recommendation
The ICURED Microneedle Treatment takes about two hours, and involves only minimal discomfort, but the improvement of the health and vitality of the skin can be permanent, provided the patient embarks upon a long term skin care regimen following the treatments. To maximize patients’ results, Wave Plastic Surgery recommend performing a series of three treatments at three week intervals.

What Is The ICURED Microneedle Recovery Time?
Very mild swelling and bumpiness of the skin, minimal redness, occasional bruising, as well as itchiness of the skin, may be experienced by patients for the first two to three days after the procedure. As an added benefit to our patients undergoing the three treatment ICURED Microneedle package, Wave provides them with a comprehensive kit of aftercare products designed to minimize their downtime and maximize their results.

Patients wishing to turbocharge their results from The ICURED Microneedle Treatment can add PGF to the standard sheep placenta extract. PGF stands for platelet growth factors. These growth factors are isolated from plasma rich protein (PRP) that is extracted from a small sample of the patient’s own blood. PRP has been shown to contain high concentrations of powerful biologically active growth factors such as platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor (TGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and insulin-like growth factor (IGF).

Solutions Used With ICURED Microneedle
In the skin, these growth factors up-regulate proliferation and differentiation of fibroblasts as well as production and remodeling of the extracellular matrix (ECM), which gives the skin its unique properties of elasticity, tensile strength and compressibility. Thus, the addition of PGF to The ICURED Microneedle Treatment augments its ability to treat fine lines and wrinkles, restore volume and elasticity, and improve the overall texture of the skin.
