Commissary is a greenhouse with a focus on fruits and vegetables. It’s not necessarily a vegetarian restaurant, just good food and drink based around plants as the foundation. It’s also an homage to all the people and families here in So Cal that work on farms to bring food to our tables. Set beside a shimmering pool, it’s got all the amenities of a private club but created for the public. Come sunbathe in carrot juice, snack on a salad, or grab some eggs and toast. Commissary is your own little oasis where you can feel right at home and chill.

EsCaLA aims to serve as a haven that fuel the artistic soul and feed a discerning palate. The restaurant is the product of a mission to serve food that carries flavors with depth and complexity that are equally impressive as the art and music that adorn its walls. From our elote to our pescada frita, we certainly have a lot to be prideful of. Our food menu is crafted to suit the highly discerning palate of LA natives while respecting and maintaining the authenticity of Latin American flavors. The food menu, the cocktails, the wall art, and the music are all very personal and made with the intention of replicating the experiences of the people that dreamed EsCaLA into reality.

Kang Hodong Baekjeong is a bustling Korean barbeque restaurant located within the popular Chapman Plaza in Los Angeles’ Koreatown. The restaurant signage is in Korean but it can be easily identified by the long line of diners waiting outside along with a life-size cardboard cutout of South Korean TV personality Kang Ho-dong, who actually happens to be the owner of the restaurant. The menu is short, featuring high quality cuts of meat a la carte and set course dinners.  Traditional items are also available such as bibimbap, kimchee soup, and a nostalgic item known as a shaken dosirak which is basically a kid’s lunch box with meat, egg, kimchi, anchovies, over rice in a flat metal container.
